I like to think of this as the ultimate surprise party because It was very thorough and we had to make sure that my grandpa did not find out about the plans. So, my grandpa's birthday was coming up and we thought that it would be great for him to have a surprise party because of the age he was turning. With that, we told the whole family and my grandpa's sister, who is from California, thought it would be a great idea to surprise him for his birthday.
So, April 25th came, this was the big day. We had the party at red lobster because that is his favorite place to go too. We made sure all the plans was correct. We made sure my grandpa arrived last, so we told him a later time to come. When he came we all yelled "SURPRISE" "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"! He was so shocked and speechless. and to put the icing on the cake we had his sister walk from behind him and she tapped him and he turned around speechless and instantly have her a hug!
The highlight in my opinion was my grandpa was going to pay for everyone's meals there! He never usually liked surprise parties but, I know this one was going to be in the books for a long time to remember. So after we cut the cake, we all huddled up and took a family photo to remember the special day. I know for a fact that was a day I would never forget and a day that he would never forget.
Hi Kobe,
ReplyDeleteThat was such a sweet thing for y'all to do for your grandpa. How old did he turn? I'm sure he was completely shocked that his sister flew in for it, that had to be pretty special for him. Family is truly one of the most important things in life.
My family loves planning surprise parties for each other, so I know your grandfather must've been ecstatic! My family recently threw a surprise party for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. We had many family members from out of town attend, which surprised my grandparents even more! This is a memory that you will have forever, which is so special!
ReplyDeleteAwesome and soon nice for your grandpa! I love your blog and what you wrote really made me want to keep reading. Keep it up!
